Celebrate community, climate action, and environmental justice at the Laurel Court Community Garden!
Free healthy local food courtesy of Crockett Cocina and Olympia Market
Join us for a day of collective stewardship as we honor the legacy of farmworker labor leaders like Larry Itliong. This family-friendly gathering is more than a volunteer even, it is an invitation to practice Embodied Action and Play, where we learn to help the garden grow through joy, culture, and shared art.
Join us every Wednesday at a coalition partner with the Karkin Farmstop & Health Hub for a hands-on journey into the soil. This isn't just gardening; it’s a Social Prescription, a non-clinical pathway to health that honors your contribution to our local food system while restoring your mental and physical vitality.
From Doughnut Economics to whole-systems thinking
Join speaker Indy Rishi Singh for a big-picture look at whole systems and interconnection — how the actions we take to create healthy environments and healthy people are all part of a whole.
The talk will integrate a discussion of Doughnut Economics and the Ecocivic approach for community engagement.
This talk is part of the Vallejo Environmental Leadership Fellowship, a high school internship program, but will be open to interested members of the general public. We invite you to come be part of the conversation!
