Contra Costa County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Focus: Infrastructure and public services for low-income areas (including unincorporated Crockett).

Deadline: The application for the current FY 2026/27 cycle passed in Dec 2025. However, the FY 2027/28 Kick-Off Meeting is scheduled for October 2026, with applications due in December 2026.

San Francisco Foundation – FAITHS Program

Focus: Community-led social justice and civic engagement for faith-based and community orgs.

Deadline: Typically opens August 15, 2026, with a submission deadline in late September 2026.

Cal OES – Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG)

Focus: Enhancing local emergency management and resilience.

Deadline: April 30, 2026 (for the general FY 2025/26 allocation cycle).

These focus on community vitality, individual artist support, and cultural preservation.

Zellerbach Family Foundation

Community Arts: * Focus: Individual artists and small nonprofits (budgets <$2M) in Contra Costa, Alameda, and SF.

Deadline: April 13, 2026.

Amount: $5,000 – $15,000.

Song Brown Healthcare Training Grants (HCAI):

Focus: Primary care residencies, nursing, and physician assistant training for underserved areas.

Focus: Improving health outcomes and access for low-income populations.
